DUIHeroes is excited to announce that our very own Lexi Byron has been accepted to the Washington State Bar Association Admissions and Practice Rule 6 (WSBA APR 6) Law Clerk Program. This amazing opportunity is made all the more exciting because Attorney Jonathan Dichter, the founding attorney of DUIHeroes, will act as her tutor. Our whole team appreciates firsthand the outstanding work Lexi completes as a law clerk for our firm, so we anticipate amazing progress and results as she moves through the WSBA APR 6 Law Clerk Program.
Currently, Lexi is aiming to become a defense attorney just like her mentor, Jonathan Dichter. The Law Clerk Program is an alternative to law school, which will give her a unique jumping point to dive into her career path.
Lexi was kind enough to share some of her thoughts about being accepted to this program: “While studying Criminal Justice in my undergrad years, I quickly formed a great interest in Criminal Law and Justice. I knew I wanted to be able to have a career in law that challenged me but also allowed me to help protect the rights of others. Being accepted into the APR 6 program gives me the opportunity to expand my knowledge in law by studying coursework and still actively working with a great team of defense attorneys and learning through exposure. I get to learn the work as I am doing the work. I am so grateful for my mentor Jonathan Dichter and the other attorneys here at DUIHeroes who have supported me and taught me so much in such a short time here. I am excited to start my journey to becoming a defense attorney and couldn't have done it without the WSBA Rule 6 Law Clerk Program!”
Jonathan Dichter is also thrilled about Lexi’s opportunity with the Law Clerk Program, having said: “As soon as I met Lexi, I knew she had a thirst for this work. She was immediately interested in learning and doing more and more. It was a natural progression of that enthusiasm for her to become interested in becoming an attorney. I'm honored that she asked me to be her mentor, and very excited to start this program with her. I have no doubts that she will be one of the next great attorney Heroes helping clients with their DUIs throughout this state!”
